- If you email us, we keep your message so we can help you.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who we are and what this covers
This policy is from Energetic Health and Research, 600 Cutoff Rd #15, Port Aransas, TX 78373, U.S.A. ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal information described here.
It covers the Sound Renew apps for iPhone and Android (including the earlier iTherapySmartCure, iTherapySC Dog and iTherapySC Horse apps) and this website, www.itherapysmartcure.com. For a plain-language account of what the apps store, see Data Practices.
Information we collect
Through the apps
We do not collect personal information through the apps. The apps have no accounts or sign-in, include no analytics or advertising software, and do not ask for access to your microphone, camera, location, contacts or photos. Treatments run on your device, and the treatment content and tones are built into the app.
The apps do keep a few things on your own device, and they stay there: your settings (such as language, whether to open the last mode, and continuous treatment), whether you have seen the introduction, and when the app last asked you to rate it. We cannot see this information. Your phone's own backup (iCloud, iTunes or Google backup) may include it; that is controlled by Apple or Google.
Which treatments you open, and who you are treating (a person, a dog or a horse), are not recorded or sent anywhere.
Purchases
Subscriptions are bought and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google process your payment and hold your billing details. The app asks the store, on your device, whether you have an active plan so it can unlock treatments. We do not receive your name, email address, payment details or account identifiers. We can see aggregated sales and download statistics in our developer accounts, such as counts by country and device type.
When the app asks you to rate it, the request is shown by Apple's or Google's own system dialog. We do not receive your rating or your answer.
When you contact us
If you email us or use Contact support in the app's Settings, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and anything you choose to include, such as your device model and app version. We use this only to respond and to improve Sound Renew.
When you visit this website
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Cookie choices. If you respond to the cookie banner, we store your choice in one first-party cookie,
sr_consent. - Analytics, only with your permission. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) collects information about your visit: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Advertising features and Google Signals are turned off. See the Cookie Policy.
We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, session recording or fingerprinting on this website.
How we use information
- To answer your questions and give support.
- To operate, secure and troubleshoot this website.
- If you allow analytics cookies, to understand which pages are useful and improve them.
- To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights.
We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Legal bases for processing (EEA, UK and similar laws)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Consent for analytics cookies. You can withdraw it at any time from .
- Legitimate interests in running and securing the website and in answering the messages you send us, which are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the website and receive messages: our hosting provider and email provider, who may only process it on our behalf. If you accept analytics cookies, Google LLC receives the analytics data described above.
- Apple and Google, which operate the app stores and handle purchases under their own privacy policies.
- Authorities and advisers where required by law, or to protect rights, safety or property.
- A successor if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses one strictly necessary cookie and, with your permission, analytics cookies. The apps use no cookies. Full details, including every cookie's name, purpose and duration, and how to change your choices, are in the Cookie Policy. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal; see Your Privacy Choices.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, so information you send us is processed there. If you accept analytics cookies, Google LLC may process analytics data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires safeguards for transfers from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on the provider's participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) or on standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep information
- Support emails are kept for as long as needed to answer you and to document the request, and then deleted or anonymized unless the law requires us to keep them.
- Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short, routine period.
- Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting in our analytics account, which we configure to the shortest practical period.
- The cookie-choice cookie lasts 182 days, after which we ask again.
- Information on your device stays until you delete the app.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS and sends security headers that restrict what a page can load. The apps keep very little data, and nothing leaves your device that we could lose. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but the best protection for personal information is not to collect it.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to access, correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its use, to take a copy, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still ask.

Because the apps hold no information about you, we can usually only locate information connected to an email address you have written to us from. If you are in the EEA or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children's privacy
Sound Renew is intended for adults and for the care of animals. It is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where the law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the apps collect none, there is nothing to delete. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by these laws, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their rights. California residents may request information about disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing purposes; we make none.

This website links to the App Store, Google Play and other sites. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is material, for example if we add a new kind of cookie, we will ask for your choices again.
